The National Weather Service issued a dense fog advisory for the region that lasted until 10 a.m. Monday. More fog is expected Monday night into Tuesday morning, with the weather service predicting that it could become especially dense north of Interstate 80.Looking ahead to the holiday weekend, the weather service notes “some potential” for snow starting late Friday but says details on timing, location and magnitude still are unclear.
