Henning mural moved out of Cedar Rapids’ Harrison Elementary
The mural will hang in the district’s Educational Leadership and Support Center while the school is being renovated

Cedar Rapids Community School District workers hang a mural by William E. Henning in the district’s Educational Leadership and Support Center in northwest Cedar Rapids on Tuesday. The mural, painted by Grant Wood student William E. Henning, has hung at Harrison Elementary School since 1935. The painting measures 22 feet long by 5 feet tall and depicts the history of transportation. It will hang in there district’s ELSC while Harrison is being renovated.
