Sometimes the Wild Art Gods Smile Upon You

Feb. 16, 2012 3:36 pm
I usually get a tight feeling in my gut when I see the text, "Need warm weather photo" appear on my phone's screen. The image of my odometer spinning around, like a Bugs Bunny cartoon, as I put miles on my car in search of any activity enters my mind.
Not today!
It was a sunny, blue sky kind of day with temperatures was in the mid 40's and I was feeling lucky.
After driving to some of my usual feature hunting grounds, I headed in the direction of Mount Mercy University. I was hoping some crazy students would be using the volleyball court or maybe throwing a Frisbee around. That was when I spied Tim Hautt spending time with his two children, Kyle, 4, and Emily, 2, in the front yard of his home.
A spent around eight minutes with Hautt and his children. Waiting until he was swinging in the direction and angle to make the picture I had envisioned.
