Dancers from Monticello High School won Pom Class VII on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association state championships at Casey’s Center (formerly Wells Fargo Arena) in Des Moines.

Mid-Prairie and West Liberty also competed in the class.

Monticello edged Iowa Falls-Alden by one-half point (352.5-352) to capture first place.
