Dancers from Lone Tree and Springville high schools came home with trophies from Pom Class I competition at the Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association state championships Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at EMC Expo Center (formerly Hy-Vee Hall) in Des Moines.

Lone Tree finished third behind Algona Bishop Garrigan and runner-up Storm Lake St. Mary’s, while Springville came in fifth to claim the final trophy.

In addition, North Tama (seventh) and Montezuma (tied for eighth) also competed in the category.
