St. Patty's Day I hit the double nickel

Today I hit the double nickel -- 55. And I just keep speeding along.
Ten years ago I celebrated my St. Patrick's Day birthday with other Eastern Iowans so blessed. We rode the birthday float in the SaPaDaPaSo parade in Cedar Rapids. Our huge newspaper-roll sized paper cakes melted in the rain, but we had a great time all the same.
St. Patty's Day is a great day to be alive. You help the Irish celebrate. Others help you celebrate. And spring is just around the corner.
Don't miss today's parade at 1 p.m. through downtown Cedar Rapids. I'll be watching from somewhere.
