Maple Syrup Festival coming up this weekend

Another Maple Syrup Festival is coming this Saturday and Sunday, March 21 and 22
Indian Creek Nature Center's signature event is moving to a later date, closer to the end of maple syruping season. 'Many maple syrup festivals held in places like Vermont are at the end of the season, to celebrate the harvest. And with a bit of luck, the weather will be warmer, too,' says John Myers, the nature center's executive director. The festival features a pancake and sausage breakfast with real maple syrup; live music; syrup-making demonstrations in the Sugar House; and educational displays showing how syrup was made by early- and Native Americans.
