Do you know any of the people in these photos?
If so, let me know. Because Doug Thompson of Solon, Iowa, found your camera waterlogged at Sugar Bottom recreation area.
Doug couldn't salvage the camera but he saved the memory card and wanted to know if I could help find the people in the photos.
He didn't recognize anyone. Neither do I.
But here's a rundown on the photos which were saved on a 1 gigabyte card and taken with an Canon PowerShot camera.
The first photos are of a young couple, their two dogs and what appears to be a recently decorated Christmas tree.
Pictures that follow are of a vacation south and includes photos of the bombing memorial in Oklahoma City and the Minute Maid baseball stadium which is home to the Houston Astros.
Houston also plays into additional pictures that include some Star Wars Episode III equipment, Mission Control and looking at Moon Rocks.
Next come photos of four people in swimsuits on a beach, people lounging beneath a beach umbrella and some Mexican style artwork.
These people must be baseball fans because the next photos are of Coors Field in Denver from high above and toward the first base side looking down on the field. The Rockies were playing the Atlanta Braves so there's a photo of Chipper Jones on the scoreboard TV and then "Rockies Win" on it.
Following these photos are some taken while camping, possibly at Sugar Bottom. We see tents and an RV or long trailer.
There's also a photo of a little girl with a pink cast on her right arm that has been signed by a lot of folks.
And a young boy wears a T-shirt that reads "First National Bank. West Union and St. Lucas. Fishing Derby."
The last photos were taken of people sitting on high-back chairs fashioned out of a pair of tree stumps that are still where the trees had grown.
If you recognize these people (or if you ARE these people), please let me know by leaving a comment here.
I know what it's like to lose pictures you can't replaced. I'd like to get this memory card back to the rightful owner.
