Local college students to read from journals at Mount Mercy

CEDAR RAPIDS - Students published in literary journals at Mount Mercy University, Coe College, Cornell College and Kirkwood Community College will gather to read and discuss their work at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Betty Cherry Heritage Hall on the Mount Mercy campus, 1330 Elmhurst Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids.
The students - from many different areas of study - hope to engage and expand the local creative community with the event, dubbed 'College Students Create: Celebrate Corridor Literary Journals.”
Snacks and literary magazines from each of the schools will be available free of charge. Community members are welcome to attend.
