Historic buildings, homes are focus of event

CEDAR RAPIDS - Free bus tours Saturday will allow a peek at historic buildings and homes.
The tours are to be guided by historian and Cedar Rapids Historic Preservation Commission member Mark Stoffer-Hunter of The History Center. The focus is on properties transformed into different uses and those that moved from their original location.
Buses depart from and return to Greene Square, 415 Third Ave. SE, on the Third Avenue side.
Tours are as follows:
' Repurposing Buildings Bus Tour - 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
' Houses on the Move Bus Tour - 11 a.m. to noon
' Repurposing Buildings Bus Tour - 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
' Houses on the Move Bus Tour - 3 to 4 p.m.
