UNI men’s basketball game Monday night canceled
3 Virginia football players were killed in campus shooting on Sunday
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — In response to a campus shooting on the University of Virginia campus Sunday night, Monday night’s UNI men’s basketball game against No. 18 Virginia has been canceled.
Three members of the Virginia football team were killed in the shooting. A suspect was taken into custody Monday, more than 13 hours after he allegedly gunned down fellow students in a bus as they returned from a school field trip.
The Panthers return to action next next Monday, against the University of San Francisco in the NABC Hall of Fame Classic at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. Tipoff is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
