YARDY loves Jack-O-Lanterns
City of Cedar Rapids
Oct. 31, 2011 9:15 pm
When Halloween is over, residents can put their Jack-O-Lanterns into their YARDY cart for collection.
Please remove candles and candle holders before placing the used pumpkins in the YARDY cart.
The YARDY cart is Cedar Rapids' curbside composting container. Fruit and vegetable wastes can be placed in the YARDY cart all year.
The material is taken to the Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency's A Street location and turned into nutrient- rich compost. The compost material is available for Linn County residents to pick up for free.
