Wind turbine workshop Saturday

People interested in installing individual wind turbines on their property can learn more about the subject at a workshop starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, 2011, at the Fontana Park Nature Center classroom near Hazleton.
Turbine owners will be on hand to discuss their experience and answer questions in the classroom portion of the workshop, which will continue with a tour of local sites with operating turbines.
An increasing number of wind turbines have been popping up on farms in Buchanan, Bremer and Black Hawk counties in recent years.
