Warbler Walk at Hickory Hill Park, Iowa City 5/18

Another glorious morning to be walking in Hickory Hill Park, watching birds and looking at flowers.
We had 16 species of warbler with Tennessee's being the most common and Chestnut-sided's and Blackburnian's around every turn in the trails. Our list included the following 52 specie: Mallard, Barred Owl, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Least Flycatcher, Great Crested Flycatcher, Yellow-throated Vireo, Blue-headed Vireo, Philadelphia Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Blue Jay, Barn Swallow, Black-capped Chickadee, Tufted Titmouse, White-breasted Nuthatch, House Wren, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Eastern Bluebird, Swainson's Thrush, Wood Thrush, American Robin, Gray Catbird, Brown Thrasher, Golden-winged Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, Orange-crowned Warbler, Nashville Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Cape May Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, Blackburnian Warbler, Bay-breasted Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, American Redstart, Ovenbird, Mourning Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Wilson's Warbler, Chipping Sparrow, Clay-colored Sparrow, Field Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Lincoln's Sparrow, Northern Cardinal, Indigo Bunting, Common Grackle, Brown-headed Cowbird, Baltimore Oriole, and American Goldfinch.
