The conservation boards in Linn and Buchanan counties are sponsoring a three-day trip in March to witness two of the Midwest's greatest bird spectacles.
Participants will observe the mating rituals of the prairie chicken at the Kellerton Bird Conservation Area in Ringgold County on March 26.
On the following evening they will witness the annual spring gathering of sandhill cranes from blinds at the Rowe Sanctuary along the Platte River near Kearney, Neb.
