Takes wins CR Bassmasters tourney

Thad Takes caught 10 bass weighing 29.04 pounds to win the Cedar Rapids Bassmasters tournament July 9 and 10 on the Mississippi River at La Crosse, Wis.
Other top finishers were Mike Leuenberger, 26.15 pounds; Bobby Anspach, 26.0 pounds; Brad Teel, 25.15 pounds; and Jason Brecht, 25.14 pounds.
Takes caught the day one big bass, a 4.1 pounder. Lynn Smith's 3.15 pounder topped the field on the second day.
All participants caught five-fish limits both days of the tournament.
