CORALVILLE – It may not be warm outside yet, but today was the day for those in anticipation of boating and camping season.
Outdoor sports fanatics gathered at the Coralville Marriott today for the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Sport Show. The event featured a boat and RV showroom, rows of seminar booths and live entertainment.
Attendees walked up and down the aisles gathering handfuls of pamphlets and literature on fishing, hunting and travel. They had opportunities to buy gear ranging from fishing poles and bate to hunting vests and sports bags.
In the showroom families admired the newest models of fishing, speed and pontoon boats. Recreational vehicles and carts were on display as well.
While admiring their favorite toys, kids as well as adults, munched on popcorn, jerky and fresh nuts.
The seminar wasn't just an opportunity to buy and see next year's boat models, live entertainment was also available. Jugglers and unicycle riders performed as well.
Today was the last day of the three day-long show. The first 200 kids to arrive today won a free tackle box.
