The Linn County Board of Supervisors and the Linn County Conservation Board have signed a proclamation designating July as Parks and Recreation Month in Linn County. The benefits of parks and recreation areas are numerous and include healthy, active communities; increased tourism; wildlife habitats; and ecological beauty. Take time to enjoy a Linn County park this summer season!
The Linn County Conservation Department offers 28 areas of parks, trails, camping sites, natural areas, preserves and historic sites covering 7,015 acres of places to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and recreate in the outdoors. More than one million people visit Linn County parks each year and provide an economic impact to local economies in excess of $42 million.
