Johnson County geese appear on U.S. mortality events map
The National Wildlife Health Center of the U.S. Geological Survey is reporting the death of <25 Canada Geese in Johnson County since Jan. 19. Aflatoxicosis is suspected as the cause.
The Johnson County deaths appear as the newest event on the NWHC Recent Mortality Events Map and are the only Iowa deaths noted in recent history.
