Johnson County Butterfly Count, 23 July
Richard Hollis
Jul. 24, 2011 6:54 pm
The Johnson County Butterfly Count, which was scheduled for 23 July and rescheduled for 24 July and rained out both days, is now scheduled for 30 July.
Meet us at 9:00 at the Conservation Education Center at Kent Park if you wish to participate.
This count is sponsored by the Iowa City Bird Club and the North American Butterfly Association.
In addition to the butterflies I mentioned last time, there are many other butterflies which we could see. Iowa's state butterfly list includes well over 100 species. What will we see? Will we have decent weather?
