The Iowa City Bird Club and Friends saw 40 species of birds, including 10 warblers.
Mallard, Cooper's Hawk, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Red-headed Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Least Flycatcher, Great Crested Flycatcher, Yellow-throated Vireo, Blue-headed Vireo, Philadelphia Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Blue Jay, Barn Swallow, Black-capped Chickadee, House Wren, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Swainson's Thrush, Wood Thrush, American Robin, Gray Catbird, Golden-winged Warbler, Tennessee Warbler, Nashville Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Blackburnian Warbler, Blackpoll Warbler, Black-and-white Warbler, American Redstart, Mourning Warbler, Chipping Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Scarlet Tanager, Northern Cardinal, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Indigo Bunting, Baltimore Oriole, and American Goldfinch.
The Mourning Warbler was a real treat as they are less common and hard to see.
