Erickson, Marshall win Hawkeye club tourney

John Erickson and Brian Marshall, both of Iowa City, caught five bass weighing a combined 9.91 pounds to win the Hawkeye Bass Club's July 17 tournament on the Mississippi River at Dubuque.
Other top finishers were Chris Yeager of Dubuque and Kalvin Villhauer of Iowa City with four bass weighing 9.67 pounds, and Rover Mildenstein of Iowa City and Jim Wagner of Dubuque with five bass weighing 9.16 pounds.
Villhauer caught the tournament's largest bass, a 4.17-pounder.
