Cedar Rapids RAGBRAI seeking vendors for six special events

Cedar Rapids and the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa™ is seeking vendors for six events and locations during the bicyclists overnight stay in our community, including the:
- Party on the Island event on the 2nd and 3rd Avenue Bridges on July 26, 2012 from 4:30 to 11:30 p.m.
- Outplay Island Kids Zone event in Greene Square Park on July 26, 2012 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
- Green Tribe Campground in Cherry Hill Park on July 26, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Orange Tribe Campground in Ellis Park on July 26, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Blue Tribe Campground in Veterans Memorial and Cleveland Parks on July 26, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Breakfast on the Bridge event on the 16th Avenue Bridge on July 27, 2012 from 6:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Food and non-food vendors are encouraged to submit an application by May 15, 2012. The Cedar Rapids RAGBRAI® vendor or temporary food service applications are available at

For the first five events listed above, Cedar Rapids RAGBRAI® is charging a $450 fee for all non-profit organization vendor applications and a $650 fee for all for-profit business vendor applications postmarked by May 15, 2012. Fees will increase to $600 and $800, respectively, for applications postmarked between May 16 and June 1, 2012. The electricity service fee is $50 for standard electrical needs. In addition, a $200 clean-up deposit is required which will only be deposited if the area is not properly cleaned at the conclusion of each event.
Specifically for the Breakfast on the Bridge event, Cedar Rapids RAGBRAI® is charging a $100 fee for all non-profit organization vendor applications and a $200 fee for all for-profit business vendor applications postmarked by June 1, 2012. Electricity will not be provided. In addition, a $200 clean-up deposit is required which will only be deposited if the area is not properly cleaned at the conclusion of each event.
