We need a senator who will stand up

Your headline of July 12 claims that Sen. Chuck Grassley is “keeping up” (“Grassley, 87, shows Iowa voters he’s keeping up”).
I’d be much more impressed if he were “standing up.” If he can cast a negative vote, he does; if he can remain silent on issues like Iowans who won’t get the vaccines, he does; if the Republican Party (Donald Trump) insists that Jan. 6 was a love fest, he does not oppose the lie. It doesn’t matter if Grassley is 87 or 37, we need a person of character and courage in his Senate seat.
