2020 was a year of disruption and discord, and going into 2021, our community is positioned to make transformative and meaningful change. We must be intentional about dismantling inequities and protecting civil and human rights and we have a collective responsibility to create a welcoming and inclusive Cedar Rapids.
The Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission has long worked to prevent and eliminate discrimination in our community and this vital work will continue. We remain committed to a just, sustainable and equitable Cedar Rapids. The commission is here to serve our community, listen to our community, and respond to the needs of our community.
We remain committed to our bold vision for Cedar Rapids: Together, Let's Create a Community of Belonging.
We invite you to join us in this work.
Stefanie P.K. Munsterman-Scriven is executive director of the Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission
