Iowa pork is better than Washington pork

I love Iowa pork, but I hate Washington pork. At a time when our country is fighting so hard to get back to “normal” and get people back to work, the last thing Iowa needs is more and massive spending from Washington to accomplish what is in effect political payoffs and pork disguised as infrastructure or similar.
Under Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi, trillions upon trillions of dollars of spending packages have been rolled out. These politicians act like there is no negative impact to taxpayers when they spend money that doesn’t even exist yet. To pretend that by printing increasingly devalued American currency, the government can right all wrongs and spend us into a strong economy is false. This unprecedented government spending comes with too high a price tag — much higher taxes on us, and more complicated regulations. We’re already seeing the effects of these gigantic spending packages by paying higher prices to buy groceries, gas, and other everyday items.
At the end of the day, we (the taxpayers) will have to pay the bill for this deeply liberal, and generally unnecessary, wish list. U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson has been our voice in opposition to this wasteful behavior, and I am grateful for her courage to push back.
