Iowa Legislature’s latest bills are not conservative

The Iowa Legislature has passed a bill that would financially protect people driving cars into crowds of protesters. Interesting.
They are now considering a bill which would penalize businesses requiring vaccine passports.
I know there can be various kinds of vaccine passports. Some I might like and others not. But why is the state injecting itself into businesses like this?
This is all pretty radical. Revolutionary.
I guess we don’t actually have a conservative state government in Iowa any more.
