Gov. Kim Reynolds shows lack of leadership on COVID

Governor, you claim you have not seen the data about the number of COVID cases in Iowa. Here they are: The number of COVID cases have doubled in Iowa in July! There have been 380,000 cases in Iowa and 6,183 deaths since COVID began.
The data in the month of July shows Iowans need direct guidance and a simple mask mandate for indoor spaces to protect themselves from a virus that always wins.
A leader would do everything possible to protect the citizens of Iowa and not pander to the Republican base. You also claim that you will do everything possible to protect every beating heart of the unborn. What about all of the beating hearts in our schools? So far your concern is pro-birth, with a lack of funding for our social programs and education at all levels.
What kind of leader makes such a simple minded statement that “ I haven’t seen the data?” And what leader doesn’t do everything possible to make Iowa the best place to be in all facets of life — especially in our schools? Also, a leader does everything possible to have citizens vaccinated. Science is how we end this pandemic and get our lives back to normal.
