Indiana has taken criticism for a new law allowing businesses to refuse service based on religious beliefs. Many protesters say that would make it legal to discriminate, particularly against gays and lesbians. Iowa law specifically protects sexual orientation and religion from discrimination. How would you balance religious freedoms of business owners while protecting against discrimination based on sexual orientation?
