Zona Kathryn Davison, 82, of Marion, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at her home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, George E. (Linda) Davison Jr. of Cedar Rapids and Steven L. (Teresa) Davison of Cameron, N.C.; two brothers, Joe Munson and Sampson "Bud" Munson; sister, Patsy Peterson; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Zona was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four siblings, Thelma "Till" Burton, Dorothy Dixon, Charles "Chub" Munson and Judy Hunt; and grandson, Jeremiah Davison.
Zona Kathryn Davison was born Aug. 17, 1932, in Oakville, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Thelma (Wickey) Munson. She married George Edward Davison Sr. on Aug. 14, 1949, in Joy, Ill. He preceded her in death in 2011.
Zona worked at Rockwell Collins from 1963 to 1998. Her passions were growing beautiful flowers, quilting and spending time with family. Zona was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She has left us with wonderful memories and we feel blessed to have had her in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
