Zobeck, Lorraine Emma
Lorraine Emma Zobeck, 98, died Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Colonial Manor, Amana. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 18, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Craig Steimel officiating. Burial: St. Michael's Cemetery, Norway. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Parish Center, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m.
Lorraine was born April 1, 1914, to John Sr. and Bertha (Schulte) Frese in Norway, Iowa. She married Nelson Zobeck on Jan. 3, 1946, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Norway.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Kathy) Zobeck, Walford; a daughter, Shirley (Dennis) Ballard, Amana; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1994; a son, Bruce in 2012; five brothers and three sisters.
Lorraine touched many lives and will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
The family wishes to thank Colonial Manor for the loving care they gave to Lorraine.
