Mitchel of Anamosa; grandchildren Jason (Jill) Pammler of Chicago, Ill., Amanda (Bill) Alton of Annapolis, Md., Kayla Yario of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Vincent Yario of Anamosa, Anakin Hall of Anamosa and Riley Hall of Anamosa; a sister, Sandra (Greg) Toussaint of Lombard, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; parents, Earl and Catherine Freundt; and infant son, Scott.
Yvonne was born Aug. 25, 1937, in Elmhurst, Ill., the daughter of Earl and Catherine Jonas Freundt. She married George Mitchel on Jan. 21, 1956, in Elmhurst.
Yvonne was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was one of the kindest and most loving souls you could ever meet. She never met a stranger, most likely because she always had a smile on her face, and treated others with the utmost respect. Yvonne loved her family very much, especially her daughters and grandchildren. She loved with all her heart and she gave of herself unconditionally and without reserve. Yvonne was very proud of all her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments, both great and small, and was quick to let them know just how proud she was and how much they were loved.
Yvonne enjoyed many hobbies, including gardening, decorating, going to garage sales and bargain hunting, quilting and embroidery. She made many prom dresses, bridesmaid dresses and even wedding dresses for her daughters! She was very talented with needle and thread and her daughters were proud to wear and show off her masterpieces. Yvonne loved hosting dinner parties and tea parties. She very much enjoyed spending time with her friends and loved ones and never missed an opportunity to make a person feel special. She was always the first to lend a helping hand, offer kind words of encouragement and support, a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen.
Yvonne was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who enriched the lives of all those she knew. She will be greatly missed by the many, many people who were lucky enough to have known her and been truly touched by the angel she was and will forever continue to be.
