Young, RaMae A.
RaMae A. Young, 54, of Cedar Rapids died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 3 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Rick Gail to officiate. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her sister, Terri Coleman and her husband Michael of Marion; brother, Brian Young of Cedar Rapids; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Lucinda Young; brother, Steven Young; maternal and paternal grandparents; aunts and uncles.
RaMae A. Young was born May 17, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Raymond & Lucinda (O'Brien) Young. She worked at Graphic Sciences and later owned Write Right Editorial Services out of her home. RaMae was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed her family, friends, traveling, writing, bible study, and her two beloved bichons, Jazzi and Cammi. In her earlier years she enjoyed studying and playing her accordion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or Lupus Foundation and can be sent to the home addresses of Terri or Brian.
