Sadly, our beloved mom, Yolanda Ann (Kimpo) Reynolds of Marion, Iowa passed away on April 12, 2025. She was 82.
Yolanda (Lana) was born January 4, 1943 to Genero & Renice Kimpo in Des Moines, Iowa.
She graduated with the January 1961 class at Des Moines Tech High where she majored in Clerical. Lana was a member of multiple clubs including Pep Club, Service Club, Class Council, Class Treasurer, Baccalaureate Ceremony Hostess, and Big Sister. She was a cheerleader and was voted Sr Prom Queen.
After high school she got married and had seven children. Frank (Trudy) Reynolds, Sherlyn Lindeman, Angela (Brad) Kraut, Gary (Tammy) Reynolds, Robert
Reynolds, Pamela Nelson, & Susanna Reynolds.
She was a homemaker until the kids were raised and then retired as a secretary from Rockwell Collins after 22 years.
Lana’s main focus in her life were her children and their families and spent her life being there for them. She enjoyed crafting & taking care of her flowers and with her extra time on a bowling league. She will be remembered most of all for her laugh and her love of laughter. She will be dearly missed. We are forever grateful for the life she dedicated for us.
Lana is survived by her sisters Arla Deardon, Loma Ferguson, and Nita Bartholomew, 7 children, 16 grandchildren, & 11 great-grandchildren.
Donations can be made to Ronald McDonald House & Hope Foundation who were vital to her life & well-being. Love you mom.
