Yeisley, Elizabeth Angeline

Elizabeth Angeline Yeisley, 105, a resident of Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Springville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the care center. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Rev. John Keizer. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her children, Ivan “Paul” Yeisley Jr. of Anamosa, James (Helen) Yeisley of Springville, Orland Yeisley of Springville, Merven (Opal) Yeisley of Cedar Rapids, and Steven (Debra) Yeisley of Springville; 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; and half sister, Josephine Warren of Henderson, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Phillip Yeisley; four brothers, Harold, Loyd, Kenneth, and Archibald Holubar; three sisters, Bessie, Ruth, and Zella Holubar; and grandson, Thomas Yeisley.

Elizabeth was born July 7, 1907, in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Zella (Palmer) Holubar. She married Ivan Paul Yeisley Sr. on May 28, 1927, in Waverly, Iowa. Ivan died in 1982. Although Elizabeth had a full-time job of raising six boys, she also worked for Iowa Manufacturing for 18 years.
