Wylma J. Snethen, 75, of Cedar Rapids passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at Heritage Specialty Care in Cedar Rapids under the care of Hospice of Mercy. Public Graveside Service: 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at Spring Grove Cemetery in Covington. Interment: Spring Grove Cemetery in Covington. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Wylma was born on Aug. 9, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Theo and Evelyn (Kelsey) Snethen. Throughout her adult life, she worked in customer service at a variety of businesses. Wylma was very much a people person. She liked cats and dogs and also enjoyed hand crafts and playing bingo.
Survivors include her sisters, Sandy (Steve) Townsend of Cambridge, Iowa, and Teddy Ballard of Independence, Mo. Wylma also is survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
Preceding her in death were her parents and sister, Avis Edmonds.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy or Cedar Valley Humane Society.
