Wuestenberg, Donald
Donald Wuestenberg, 67, of Wheatland, died Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at his home. Funeral services: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wheatland, by the Rev. John Cofield. Burial: Allens Grove Cemetery, rural Dixon. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. today at Chapman Funeral Home in Wheatland.
Survivors include his wife, Gale; daughters, Kay (Jim) Droll of Clarence and Krista (Scott) Shoultz of Huron, S.D.; grandchildren, Melissa Aston, Madison Shoultz, Josh, Jayce and Jarron Droll; brother, Bill (Pam) of Davenport; and sister, Kathy (Joel) Lane of Sparta, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Born Aug. 6, 1942, in Davenport, son of Marvin and Eileen (Hoffman) Wuestenberg, he married Gale Meyer on Dec. 27, 1985, in Wheatland. Don was a self-employed independent truck driver for 50 years. He was a former member of the Wheatland Fire Department and Wheatland Community Hall Board. He enjoyed camping and NASCAR.
