Woodyard, Mary
Mary Woodyard, 95, of Norwalk, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at Regency Care Center, Norwalk. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW Ninth St., Des Moines, with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mary was born in Orient, Iowa, on April 23, 1916, to Abraham Lincoln Pettit and Bessie (Hartley) Pettit.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Janette (Rex) Brown Leanhart; son, Oran Dean Glade Sr.; and many grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four children, seven sisters and three brothers.
