Wolfe, Jeffrey Scott
Jeffrey Scott Wolfe, 40, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died early Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at Flying J Truck Stop in Sioux Falls, S.D., following a sudden illness. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Friday at Papich-Kuba Janeba Chapel West, 1604 J St. SW, with the Rev. Del Bear officiating. Burial: Czech National Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Friday at the chapel.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Carol Hook and husband Richard of Marion and Clifford Wolfe and wife Janice of Winslow, Ariz.; son, Jacob Scott Wolfe of Lineville, Iowa; sister, Christine Wolfe of Marion; brother, Gregory Wolfe and wife Jacki of Cedar Rapids; nephews, Isaac and Joshua Wolfe, Marion; aunts, Mary Lou Henry, Beulah Moss and Bess Biwer, all of Cedar Rapids; uncles, Ernie Wolfe of Arkansas and Leroy Wolfe of Lisbon; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Helen Sojka and Gerald and Alice Wolfe.
Jeffrey was born Dec. 4, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, to Clifford and Carol (Sojka) Wolfe. He lived in Cedar Rapids until moving to southwest Iowa seven years ago. He was employed as a truck driver for Moss Farms, Traynor, Iowa. Jeff enjoyed fishing, watching the Chicago Cubs play and he was fascinated by model trains. He loved spending time with his son Jacob and talking to his mom and dad on the phone almost everyday.
A memorial fund has been established.
