Wojtowicz, Lenore J. (Fry)
Lenore J. (Fry) Wojtowicz, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, July 9, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Services: 1 p.m. Friday, July 15, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends from 11 a.m.to 12:45 p.m. Friday. Burial will immediately follow the service at Mound Cemetery in Watkins.
Survivors include her two sons, John of Cedar Rapids. and Joseph of Hollister, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Lenore was born Dec. 20, 1931, the daughter of Dale and Pauline (Turner) Fry in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On Nov. 2, 1951, she was united in marriage to Edward Wojtowicz in Cedar Rapids. He died in 1995.
Lenore devoted her life to being a daughter, a wife and a mother. She was very private, but she was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. Lenore loved the idea of her home and of God's home. She believed in family. Lenore loved flowers, antique glassware, organizing things, cleaning, reading, country music and the Red Sox.
