Wobeter, Celestine Joseph 'C.J.'
TOLEDO - Celestine Joseph “C.J.” Wobeter, 96, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at Carrington Place of Toledo under the care of Iowa River Hospice. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama, with Father Michael Mescher as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, rural Clutier. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 tonight at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tama, where there will be a vigil service at 7 p.m.
Survivors include eight children, Larry (Liz) Wobeter of Montrose, Colo., Sister Celeste Wobeter of Notre Dame Sisters, Omaha, Neb., Tony (Gaylen) Wobeter of Iowa City, Paul (Paulette) Wobeter of Toledo, Leo (Linda) Wobeter of Vinton, Peter (Berleen) Wobeter of Toledo, Annie (Jeff) Brill of Ham Lake, Minn., and Debra (Jeff) Heil of Haverhill; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo, is handling the arrangements.
