Witt, Ruth R. 'Ruthie'
Ruth R. “Ruthie” Witt, 81, of Vinton, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Virginia Gay Nursing and Rehab in Vinton. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 15, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Garrison with Pastor Mark Leckband officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Interment will be in Keystone Cemetery, Keystone.
Ruthie is survived by her husband, Marvin Witt of Vinton; one son, Larold (Diana Moreno-Witt) Witt of Cedar Rapids; one daughter, Arlys (Stephen) Kness of West Des Moines; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Juanita Witt; and one sister-in-law, Lylas Sindt.
A memorial fund has been established.
