Wisniewski, Capt. David A.
Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Capt. David A. Wisniewski, 31, son of Chet and Beverly Wisniewski of Iowa City, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with the Very Rev. Rudolph Juarez officiating. Visitation will be at St. Patrick's on Friday, July 23, from 4 to 8 p.m., with a parish vigil service held at 7:30 p.m. Committal services, with military honors, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, at Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the Capt. David Wisniewski Memorial Fund has been established at Hills Bank and Trust, 1401 S. Gilbert St., Iowa City, IA 52240.
David died July 2, 2010, at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Md., from injuries he sustained on June 9 in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan.
