Winnie Lee Warren, 89, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Rehabilitation Center of Lisbon in Lisbon, Iowa. A Funeral Service will be held at noon on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, where the family will greet friends an hour before the services. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Winnie was born on July 10, 1935, in Austin, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert and Ella (Eaton) Steenbergen. She was a graduate of Waterloo East High School. On September 30, 1955, Winnie was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Sheldron Warren. Sadly, he passed away in 2001.
Winnie worked as an inventory analyst at Collins Radio for 43+ years before her retirement. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion and a former member of the Eastern Star of Marion. Winnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Winnie is survived by her daughter, Hope (Michael) Dighton of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Clint Pflughaupt, Joshua Pflughaupt, Luke Bentley, Heather (Adam) Cullen, Michael Dighton, and Matthew Dighton; great-grandchildren, Logan, Harleigh, Camden, Makaela, Ethan, Emma, Ava, Isabella, Monica; sister, Juanita Pretz; nephew, Melvin (Alice) Hanson; and son-in-law, Bruce Bentley of Live Oak, California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Warren; daughter, Robin Bentley; brothers, Wayne and Billy; and two sisters, Glenice and Bernice.
