Winkler, Patricia A.
Patricia A. Winkler, 64, of Marion, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at the Rochester Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn., due to a pulmonary embolism. A funeral service celebrating Patricia's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Entombment will follow in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Phillip; children, Carrie (Justin) Martin of Central City and John Winkler of Marion; grandchildren, Montana Alene, Richard “Riggs” Charles and Jaxson Alan; sister, Bonnie (Duane) Werning of Shellsburg; and brothers, Ronnie (Ursula) McClure of Killeen, Texas and Dennis (Judy) McClure of Center Point.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Patricia Alene McClure was born Jan. 10, 1949, in Decatur, Iowa, the daughter of Monte and Glendolyn (Meek) McClure. On April 2, 1977, she married Phillip C. Winkler in Cedar Rapids. She worked in assembly at Rockwell-Collins from 1967 to 2006. Patricia was a member of Cedar Rapids Grace Church where she served as the church board secretary and deaconess, retired member of I.B.E.W. #1362, Cedar Rapids, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
