Wink, Fred
Fred Wink, 66, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loved ones following an extended illness. Service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Pastor Laurie Riley will officiate at the service. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Catherine; and five brothers, Jerry, Lewis, Tom, Leland and Richard.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Fred was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Elmer and Irene McVay Wink. Fred worked as a mechanic for many years at Stickles Farms in Anamosa. He also provided a mowing and snow removal service in Anamosa for many years.
He was a member of the HBC Bowling League in Anamosa, enjoyed mowing, dancing, going for a drive in his pickup and most recently karaoke. He could always be found lending a helping hand whether it was filling sand bags to help with flooding or just a little help around the yard.
Fred was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
