Willie Bea Pirtle, 63, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at New Life Church in Cedar Rapids. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Pirtle, Tachella Pirtle and Tania Pirtle, all of Cedar Rapids; her mother, Rosie Pledge; her siblings, Willie Jones of Cedar Rapids, Dessie Young of Tennessee and Debra Jones, Ernest Jones, Crisca Jones, Lester Jones, James Terry Jones and William Warwick, all of Cedar Rapids; and her grandchildren, Demetrice Wright, Drevelous Wright, Von Jahniqah Pirtle, Danesha Wright, Von Shanti Pirtle, Von Niika Pirtle, Jada Pirtle and Janyah Pirtle.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Curtis Jones; her stepmother, Arnie Jones; her brother, Larry Jones; and granddaughter, Issie Baker.
Willie was born Dec. 5, 1955, in Gaston, Tenn., the daughter of Willie and Rosie Jones. She enjoyed bingo, fishing, knitting and crocheting. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
