Williams, Suzan Ann

Suzan Ann Williams, 48, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 29, 2011, at her home in Sioux Falls, S.D.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of South Dakota; sons, Lewis Williams (Tiffany), Jeff Williams (Jamie Krahmer), Ricco Alexander and Richard Alexander (Jenny Sweeny), all of the Cedar Rapids area; her brother, David Leek; and various friends and extended family.

Suzan moved to Cedar Rapids from Rockford, Ill., in the mid-1990s so that her children would have a safe environment to grow up in. She worked tirelessly at several places in the area, including Dry Cleaning Plus, to provide the best life for her “boys.”

Always their staunch supporter, she would often be seen on the sidelines cheering them on. Suzan was always ready for a road trip, a game of cards, a video game or even an evening of watching movies; as long as she was spending time with family she was happy.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial fund has been established in her name at Veridian Credit Union.
