Williams, Robert D.
Robert D. Williams, 68, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at the Iowa Veterans Home, Marshalltown. Private family burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Williamsburg. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his daughters, Crystal Parker and Tersa (Chris) Cassady, both of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Carolee (Tom) Wilford of Sun City, Ariz., and Patricia Goodwin of Cedar Rapids; and two grandchildren, Tristan and Mya.
Robert was born May 15, 1943, in Sioux Falls, S.D., the son of Norris and Beverly (Clancey) Williams. He served his country as a U.S. Marine. Robert was a truck driver and member of the Teamsters.
He was an avid race fan and a longtime volunteer with The Salvation Army, helping with many programs.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
