Williams, Randy
Randy Williams, 57, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Coggon, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, from injuries sustained in a moped accident. Services: 10 a.m. Thursday, March 29, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Wilcox Cemetery, Viola.
Survivors include his mother, Lila Williams of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Roland (Becky) Williams of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; brother, Raymond Williams; an infant brother; and infant sister.
Randy was born Sept. 2, 1954, the son of Richard and Lila (Sills) Williams in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. A 1974 graduate of Kennedy High School, he worked at the Coggon Post Office. Randy enjoyed outdoor activities especially, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed riding his moped, going to garage sales, making friends and visiting family.
